National Mass Catering Chef Competition

Sirha Budapest hosted the Finals of the "National Mass Catering Chef Competition 2017-2018" on February 9th. The chefs prepared both modern and traditional food from predetermined range of food basket which contained only domestic raw materials. The aim of the competition is to modernize food, in order to adult guests can get to know the foods associated with seasons and customs, thereby developing their eating culture. The jury was made up of renowned Hungarian chefs like János SZATMÁRI, Károly GULYÁS, András WOLF, Frigyes VOMBERG and György AMBRUS. The 12, two-person finalist teams created 3-course, adult menus with mandatory chicken or African catfish, fresh parsley or asparagus, seasonal fruits, vegetables, rice or pasta. The purchase value of all raw materials used during the preparation of the food may not exceed the net 450 HUF/person.
